Emergency? Call now — we answer 24/7
Burst pipe, no heating, no power, locked out? Call us and we'll be honest about how fast we can get to you, and what it will cost before we set off.
What to do right now
Water coming through the ceiling
Turn off the internal stop tap — usually under the kitchen sink. Then open all cold taps to drain the pipes, and switch off the boiler. Put a bucket under the leak. The stop tap is stiff? Don't force it — call us and we'll talk you through it.
No heating or hot water
Check the boiler pressure gauge — if it's below 1 bar, the boiler often shuts down and topping it up (the manual shows how) can restore heating while you wait for us. Don't repeatedly press the reset button — once is enough; more can flood the boiler.
Power out or fuse box tripping
Unplug everything on the affected circuit, reset the RCD or breaker once, then reintroduce appliances one at a time. If it trips again, stop and call us — something has a fault and needs proper testing.
Can you smell gas?
Do NOT turn any switches on or off. Open windows, turn the gas off at the meter if you safely can, get everyone outside, and call the National Gas Emergency line on 0800 111 999. Then call us once it's safe.
Locked out
Stay warm and call us — lockouts jump the queue and in most cases we can get you back in without damaging the lock. If a child or vulnerable person is alone inside, tell us immediately and we'll prioritise you.
What it costs out of hours
We don't do bait-price call-outs. The rate is agreed on the phone before we set off — no surprises on the invoice. Planned work is always cheaper than an emergency, so if it can wait until morning, we'll tell you honestly.
