About this job
Decking fails at the frame, not the boards: undersized joists, no membrane, and timber sat in soil. We build on posts or pads with a weed membrane, use properly spaced and treated joists, and finish with grooved softwood, hardwood or composite boards with hidden fixings. For existing decks we replace rotten boards, strengthen frames and add handrails where height or steps demand them.
