Turf laid on unprepared soil fails within a year — we strip, level, add topsoil where needed, firm and rake to a fine tilth before a single roll goes down. For lawns that are patchy but basically sound, renovation is far cheaper: scarify, aerate, overseed, top-dress and feed, and it comes back thick. Either way, you get clear aftercare instructions for the critical first weeks.
