Gardening — frequently asked questions

Straight answers on pricing, timings and guarantees — and the honest advice we'd give a neighbour.

Do you take the garden waste away?

Yes — all cuttings and waste are removed as part of the job. You're left with a tidy garden, not a pile of bags.

Can you set up regular visits?

That's how most of our gardening customers use us. Weekly, fortnightly or monthly — we agree a schedule and just turn up, so the garden never gets away from you.

My fence blew down in the wind — can you repair it?

Yes, we repair and replace fence panels and posts. We'll check whether the posts can be saved or need replacing, and quote for both options if it's borderline.

How often should my garden be maintained?

In the growing season (April–October) fortnightly keeps most gardens genuinely tidy; weekly for lawns you're proud of. Over winter, monthly visits handle leaves, pruning windows and keeping on top of things. We'll recommend a schedule that suits your garden and budget.

What happens in winter — do I still need visits?

Less often, but winter is when the important jobs happen: leaf clearance, dormant-season pruning, fence and deck treatment, and tool maintenance. Customers who keep a winter schedule have gardens that hit the ground running in spring.

Can you work when I'm not home?

That's how most regular visits run — side-gate access agreed once, and we just turn up on schedule. You'll get a message when we've been, and photos for anything beyond the routine. Keys or gate codes are held securely and never labelled with your address.

Do you do one-off jobs or only regular contracts?

Both. Plenty of customers use us for a one-off clearance or seasonal tidy with no ongoing commitment. Regular visits simply work out cheaper per visit and mean the garden never gets overwhelming.

Can you advise on what to plant?

We're happy to — right plant, right place saves years of fighting. We suggest plants that suit your soil, light and how much time you want to spend, and we can source and plant them too. Low-maintenance planting schemes are a speciality.

Are you insured if you damage something?

Yes — full public liability insurance, and green waste is removed under a waste carrier licence (which matters: if an unlicensed carrier fly-tips your waste, it can be traced back to you).

Do you bring your own tools and fuel?

Everything — professional mowers, strimmers, hedge cutters and blowers, all maintained and sharp. You never provide equipment, fuel or disposal. You just enjoy the result.
