Handyman — frequently asked questions

Straight answers on pricing, timings and guarantees — and the honest advice we'd give a neighbour.

Is there a minimum job size?

No — small jobs are our bread and butter. Most customers save up a list and we blitz through it in a single visit, which works out cheaper than calling someone out five times.

Can you mount a TV on a stud wall?

Yes, with the right fixings. We'll check what your wall is made of first and use fixings rated well beyond the TV's weight — and we can hide the cables too.

Do you do end-of-tenancy repairs for landlords?

All the time — filling holes, touching up paint, re-siliconing bathrooms, fixing doors. Send us the checkout report and we'll quote for the lot in one go.

How do half-day and full-day bookings work?

You send us your list beforehand, we bring the likely materials, and we work through it in priority order. If the list looks longer than the day allows, we'll tell you honestly what will fit and quote the rest. No watching the clock — just steady, tidy work.

Is there anything you won't do?

Gas work and notifiable electrical work always go to our qualified engineers — no exceptions, it's the law. Roofing above single-storey height and major structural work get honest referrals. Everything else on a normal household list is fair game.

Do you supply the materials for small jobs?

The van carries fixings, sealants, fillers, brackets and common hardware. For specific items — a particular light fitting or a specific blind — we can supply at trade prices or fit what you've bought. Materials are itemised on the invoice, never hidden.

Do you take away the rubbish and packaging?

Packaging from assembly jobs is flattened and stacked neatly for your recycling. For larger waste we can arrange licensed disposal — we'll quote it upfront rather than surprising you.

Can I book the same person again?

Yes — regular customers often request the same handyman, and continuity matters for odd-job work. They'll already know your house, your walls and where the stop tap is.

How quickly can you fit me in?

Small jobs are usually booked within a few days, and half-day blitzes within the week. If something on your list is genuinely urgent — a security issue or something that's actively getting worse — tell us and we'll prioritise it.
